1 BOTTLE OF LE CLOS DES MÉS, 2021, CHÂTEAU L'INDÉCISE, BORDEAUX, FRANCE

A graceful Bordeaux red, built from a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. It opens with a layered aroma of wild red cherry, juicy plum skin, and crushed violets, underpinned by warm cedar spice and a gentle waft of forest floor. On the palate, it shows supple attack, sliding into mid-weight fruit framed by polished tannins and lively acidity; hints of dark currant, baking spice and a faint graphite note emerge as the finish lingers with a berry echo. Though the exact aging details aren’t widely published, the wine exhibits the texture characteristic of moderate oak and time in barrel to soften structure. It is a lovely companion to roast lamb, beef stews, or charcuterie and aged cheeses. Château L'Indécise, under Marie and Sacha Sokoloff, farms organically, works with biodiversity in the vineyard, and produces wines with both character and elegance—Le Clos des Més is testament to their commitment to terroir, precision and authenticity.

1 BOTTLE OF CÔTES CATALANES, 2022, DOMAINE DU LENDEMAIN, LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON, FRANCE

A vibrant and expressive red blend crafted from Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan, showcasing the rich viticultural heritage of the Roussillon region in southern France. This wine bursts with aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries, and plum, intertwined with hints of garrigue, black pepper, and a touch of smoky minerality. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, refreshing acidity, and a lingering, fruit-forward finish. Aged partially in oak barrels to add complexity and texture, this wine retains a fresh and approachable character. Perfectly suited to pair with grilled meats, hearty stews, roasted vegetables, or aged cheeses, it offers versatility for various dining occasions. Domaine du Lendemain is known for its commitment to sustainable farming and crafting wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Côtes Catalanes. 1 BOTTLE OF LE CUPOLE ROSSO TOSCANA IGT, 2022, VINI FRANCHETTI, TUSCANY, ITALY

Crafted from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot; all hand-harvested. On the palate, it’s full-bodied yet vertical (meaning it’s lifted and fresh) with silky tannins and a savoury, gentle balsamic finish.  Fermented in stainless steel for 10–15 days, aged 8 months in barrique and a further 12 months in concrete tanks. Pairs well with ribeye, duck breast, slow-cooked short ribs, or wild mushroom risotto. Also, truffle popcorn and a good movie. Tenuta delle Trinoro seeks terroir above all, parceling its estate into dozens of tiny blocks, each vinified separately, then blended into wines of remarkable depth and dimension.

1 BOTTLE OF PRUNICCE DI RIPARBELLA IGT, 2023, PAKRAVAN-PAPI, TUSCANY, ITALY

An under-the-radar Tuscan red that's a sleeper hit from the hills of Riparbella on the northern Maremma coast. A blend of Sangiovese Piccolo and Cabernet, it brings the best of both worlds: the brightness and tang of Tuscany with the grip and spice of Bordeaux. For a young wine, it’s got surprising poise; soft, structured, and super easy to love. Aromas of sour cherry, plum, violets, and a whisper of spice. Harvested by hand. Fermented in stainless steel and aged 12 months in large oak barrels, then bottle-aged for 6 months before release. The palate is fresh and smooth with fine tannins, juicy red fruit, and a clean, subtly herbal finish. Balanced and breezy, with just enough grip to hold its own at the table.
