Representing the most classical expression of the estate, Santalba Reserva is a wine that embraces Rioja tradition through the lens of precision and balance. Crafted entirely from Tempranillo grown in Rioja Alta, it combines ripe fruit, savoury complexity, and extended oak ageing into a harmonious whole that speaks clearly of both grape and place.

The Story

Santalba are a family-run producer who have been working in the region since 1964 with a focus on sustainable farming, really high quality, low-yield grapes from old vines, and elegant oak use (they use a mix of American and French oak).

On the palate, it is poised and balanced, with generous concentration, refined structure, and a long, persistent finish. Given time in the glass, the wine continues to unfold, revealing increasing complexity and depth.
