Description

Mattia Vezzola Brut Rosé S.A.

by Costaripa is an elegant and refined sparkling rosé made from 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, sourced from the best and coolest vineyards around Lake Garda. The grapes are grown on ancient glacial moraines with gravelly soils rich in limestone and clay, from vines over 25 years old. This delicate rosé offers a fresh and expressive bouquet of red berries, including raspberry and red currant, complemented by bright citrus notes. On the palate, it is elegantly harmonious and savoury, with a fine, persistent perlage, excellent freshness, and a beautifully structured finish. Made using the Champenoise Method, with 35% of the must fermented and aged in old 228-litre white oak barrels, the wine undergoes 24–30 months of ageing following harvest, adding depth and finesse. Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with oysters, seafood platters, and sushi, while also making an excellent match for gently apple-smoked salmon carpaccio. Costaripa, known for its commitment to crafting high-quality wines that express the unique terroir of the region, produces wines that embody elegance and precision.

Color
expand_more
White froth and very fine perlage, indicating excellent ageing on yeasts. Very pale, delicate old rose, with an almost imperceptible note that can convey a very slightly withered rose nuance.
Aroma
expand_more
This delicate rosé offers a fresh and expressive bouquet of red berries, including raspberry and red currant, complemented by bright citrus notes.
The Story
expand_more
In 1936, Mattia Vezzola Sr. purchased his first vineyards in Moniga in the “Costa” locality, an area known for its Rosé wines, and where the first Costaripa winery would be built 60 years later. Over the years, the winery would continue to develop and the RosaMara we know today would be born in 1984.
Taste
expand_more
On the palate, it is elegantly harmonious and savoury, with a fine, persistent perlage, excellent freshness, and a beautifully structured finish.
Food Matching
expand_more
Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with oysters, seafood platters, and sushi, while also making an excellent match for gently apple-smoked salmon carpaccio.
