Description

Chardonnay DOC 2025

100% Chardonnay. The nose opens with ripe orchard fruit—yellow apple and pear—lifted by subtler tropical hints of banana and pineapple, layered with soft hazelnut, gentle vanilla, and a fine mineral thread shaped by the volcanic soils of the Colli Euganei. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied, with a rounded, almost creamy texture where buttered citrus, stone fruit, and toasted almond glide through a vibrant backbone of freshness, finishing long with a poised mineral tension and a delicate nutty echo. It pairs beautifully with richer white-meat and seafood dishes such as roast chicken with herbs, veal in light cream sauces, garlic butter prawns, or porcini risotto, and also complements semi-aged cheeses. Vignalta is a benchmark producer of the Colli Euganei, crafting wines of precision and character that express the volcanic landscape with clarity and elegance.

Taste

Medium to full-bodied with a rounded, almost silky texture. The oak fermentation brings a creamy depth—think buttered citrus and soft toasted almond—balanced by a vibrant, underlying freshness. Flavours echo the nose with added intensity: ripe stone fruit, citrus zest, and a lingering mineral tension that keeps the wine poised rather than heavy. The finish is persistent, gently warming, and subtly nutty.
Food Matching

A natural partner for richer white-meat dishes and seafood with a touch of indulgence—think roasted chicken with herbs, veal in light cream sauces, grilled prawns with garlic butter, or a porcini and Parmesan risotto. It also shines alongside semi-aged cheeses.
