Intense, complex and elegant with super velvety tannin. This is a brilliant and big mix of bold red and black fruit with a heady spice and a long finish. Will age easily for another 15 years but drinks very well with an hour decant.
1 BOTTLE OF LANGHE "LONG NOW", PELISSERO, 2018, PIEDMONT, ITALY
In honor of the non profit Californian foundation. Recalling the saying “in the wine there is the time”.
Vinification: 50% Barbera-50% Nebbiolo. Separate vinification for the two varieties with maceration of 10-12 days for Nebbiolo and 25 days for Barbera in stainless steel casks at controlled temperature. Decanted again in steel, then in wood. Aged in small oak barrels for 15-18 months, then in bottle for 10-12 months.
Tasting Notes: Varietal scent and aroma of ripe fruit, blackberry, raspberry and red cherry framing the slight fragrance of vanilla. Open, full-bodied, velvety and all-embracing. The savoury teste and elegance of the two varietals combine excellently and for pleasantness and an unforgettable taste.
