Mocali Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

While Super-Tuscans have become extremely popular, it is still unusual to see a 100% Cab Sauv in Tuscany, much less one this accomplished.  Aged for six months in French Barriques. Notes of currant, fresh tobacco, flowers and wood. Intense, ruby-red colour. A long finish with serious tannins.

The Story

The Mocali estate is situated to the southwest of Montalcino at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level. The estate was acquired by Mister Ciacci Dino in 1956.
Taste

Purple robe with dark plums, mint and leather on the nose, dark cherry, truffles and anise on the palate and a long finish with serious tannins.
