Description
The Pelissero family has been cultivating vineyards in Treiso, in the heart of the Barbaresco DOCG appellation (Piedmont), for three generations. Many gradual changes have been performed by each successive generation, but the philosophy remains constant: continuous improvement in the vineyard and in the cellar to ensure the high quality of the wines every year. Pelissero prides themselves on their passion, commitment and innovation. Today, the estate owns and manages 42 ha of indigenous vines in a completely sustainable way. Thanks to oenologist Giorgio Pelissero at the helm of the winery, Pelissero has grown into a reference brand for Barbaresco. This wine is produced in the heart of Langhe (a UNESCO heritage site) containing soil rich in minerals and clay. Aged 9 months in oak barrels (30-40% in barrique and the remaining in 50 hl barrels).
